PEUGEOT 108 review

NGC verdict 11.07.2014

The new model renewal programme continues apace at Peugeot with its new small car contender, which shares many components with the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1, joining the 208 and 308 in only two years.

Active trim, from £9,495 for the three-door, looks the best buy. The more powerful 1.2 litre engine is not available until Allure trim versions from £10,995. A welcome spare wheel, £70 extra on lower models, means a puncture shouldn't leave you stranded. UK sales in this small car category, known as the A segment, were 117,000 in 2005 but are expected to boom to more than 242,000 this year. Peugeot has sold 130,000 of the previous 107 models in the UK.
