New Vauxhall Mokka-e launched

Vauxhall has revealed its new Mokka, and the compact crossover gets a pure-electric powertrain for the first time in the shape of the Mokka-e

Backed by a 50 kWh battery, the Mokka-e will cover 201 miles on a single charge. The Mokka-e can ultra-rapid charge at up to 100 kW, and fast charging is possible at up to 11 kW.

Powering the Vauxhall Mokka-e is a 100 kW electric motor, and although acceleration times aren't available yet, the top speed will be limited to 93 mph.

Sharing an electric powertrain and platform with what has quickly become an extensive PSA Group electric offering, the Mokka joins the Vauxhall Corsa-e, Peugeot e-208 and e-2008, and DS 3 Crossback E-Tense - plus EV vans/MPVs and PHEV models.

Vauxhall Mokka-e interior

The Mokka is the first model to feature Vauxhall's new design language inside and out. A wide panel dominates the cabin housing two screens; one for the driver's instruments, and the other the infotainment system.

Vauxhall hasn't announced UK specifications or prices, but the Mokka-e will go on sale later this year, and reach dealerships early 2021.
