Kia launches Imagine concept at Geneva

Kia has unveiled its Imagine concept at the Geneva Motor Show, with the all-electric crossover leading a wide range of electric vehicles on the firm’s stand

Joined by the new Soul EV, receiving its European debut at Geneva, the Imagine previews design elements for future models, making good use of the improved packaging flexibility for interior space offered by electric motors.

The Korean manufacturer is only showcasing its electrified line-up at Geneva on the press days, with the Imagine and Soul EV lined up alongside the likes of the new e-Niro, Niro PHEV, and Optima Sportswagon PHEV.

The company’s Uvo Connect system launches at Geneva too, allowing customers to connect to their plug-in cars via an app to control charging, find charge points, and send diagnosis data to Kia.

The Niro range has received updates to refresh the crossover, including the addition of the Uvo Connect system. The Soul EV has been revealed with two battery options at Geneva, though only one of the two options on the e-Niro is available in the UK. We shall have to see whether the same policy applies, or whether Kia offers both 64 kWh and 39.2 kWh batteries with the smaller crossover.
