MERCEDES-BENZ Best MPG
This list shows all MERCEDES-BENZ models ordered by MPG and displays the official combined MPG, NGC Rating, tail-pipe CO2 emissions, price and fuel type. All MERCEDES-BENZ models below are currently available to buy as new in the UK in 2021 and the data is updated weekly from the Next Green Car database. Choosing a high fuel economy MERCEDES-BENZ model will result in reduced running costs: lower fuel costs, car tax and company car tax.
To find MPG for a specific MERCEDES-BENZ model, use the drop-down lists below. To search on more general criteria or to find used models use the main car search page.
MERCEDES-BENZ fuel economy
MPG for MERCEDES-BENZ models varies substantially according to the type of car. Smaller, lighter vehicles like city cars and superminis typically have higher MPG, whilst large family cars or MPVs will have lower fuel economy. Fuel economy is linked to the tail-pipe CO2 emissions from a vehicle: the lower the CO2 emissions the higher the achievable MPG. Thus, buying a high MPG MERCEDES-BENZ model not only reduces running costs through lower fuel costs but also through lower emissions which may result in lower car tax and company car tax.
Four different MPG figures are included in the MERCEDES-BENZ listing above. The three official MPG figures (urban, extra-urban and combined) are derived from the 'New European Directive Cycle' (NEDC) which tests car on a rolling road. However these official MPG figures increasingly do not reflect realistic, achievable MPG figures in 2021. Therefore Next Green Car has calculated a 'real MPG' figure which is based on actual driving data. The 'Real MPG' figure is typically 20% lower than the official figures.
