Hybrid cars in the UK

Hybrid technology has been available in cars for over a decade, so it can now be considered mainstream and a real alternative to petrol or diesel cars. On average hybrid cars reduce fuel consumption by around 20% to 25%, and improve all tailpipe emissions significantly compared to an equivalent petrol or diesel car. Recent developments to hybrid technology is the plug-in hybrid which allows the battery to be recharged. See our hybrid buying guide for more information.
