PEUGEOT 308 reviewNGC verdict 25.11.2013
Peugeot has moved its game on with the new 308 which is both superior and more desirable than the previous model of the same name/number. However, the new 308 is not a Golf or Focus beater in any major area and other models provide tough competition in this sector of the market.
The 308 is not as fussy looking as its smaller sister, the 208, and the progress in general build quality and overall refinement is even more pronounced. Peugeot's intention to become a 'premium' brand so it can charge more for its cars, in these days when desirability and quality are based more on buyer opinion than mechanical reality is intriguing. Germany's big three seem to have proved you can sell large numbers of cars and still be regarded as premium.
