FIAT 500 reviewNGC verdict 09.09.2013
Nearly 60% of Fiat 500L buyers in Europe so far have come from other makes and across widely different age groups, jobs and incomes suggesting the car has a classless appeal. Fiat has been criticised because the 500L isn't as good looking as the cute 500 but that was an impossible task.
The 500L is an impressively versatile MPV with masses of space, lots of handy storage compartments and seats that fold easily in a multitude of ways. The fact it has a 500 'face' and is instantly identifiable as a member of the 500 family gives the car some personality in a class peopled by lots of dull boxes on wheels. More than 100 impact simulations and 100 crash tests has helped the 500L earn a five-star rating in EuroNCAP crash tests so it is more than a pretty(ish) face.
