Nissan Leaf Black Edition launched

Nissan has launched a special edition of its all-electric Leaf. The Leaf Black Edition is on sale now with prices starting from £26,890 after the Plug-in Car Grant, for the high-spec model.

With a distinctive all-black finish, the Leaf Black Edition includes body colour 16-inch alloy wheels and trim details such as wing mirrors and roof spoiler.

Nissan has also added LED headlights and blue-stitching to floor mats to increase the premium feel of the car, which is an end-of-line edition before a new Leaf is launched later this year.

The Leaf Black Edition is available with 0% finance from £199 per month and no minimum deposit. Nissan also offers a £1,000 deposit contribution, one year's free insurance, and free servicing for two years.

The first 200 customers will have a free in-car WiFi upgrade added to their new Leaf, capable of pairing up to eight devices at a time. The same electric powertrain remains under the skin, with the ability to go up to 155 miles on a single charge (NEDC official) with the 30 kWh battery.

Gareth Dunsmore, Director of Electric Vehicles at Nissan Europe, said: "The new Leaf Black Edition perfectly showcases Nissan's commitment to making smart, premium quality products accessible for all.

"This stylish black number combines dynamic styling, with Nissan's innovative zero-emission technology to offer customers a city-savvy intelligent mobility solution. Its sleek design compliments an exciting drive, delivered through high-class engineering, demonstrating that you don't have to compromise on style or performance when purchasing an electric car."
