17.2.2017Geneva debut for Peugeot Partner Tepee Electric
Peugeot has announced that it will launch its Partner Tepee Electric at the Geneva Motor Show. The new pure-electric vehicle will have a range of more than 100 miles on a single charge.
Based on the Peugeot Partner Tepee, which in turn is based on the Partner compact van, the new EV will be an extremely practical offering for those than need plenty of flexible space - whether that's for passengers, luggage, or a mixture of both.
Aimed at those who travel in cities often, the Partner Tepee Electric will cost nothing to tax - even after the new VED bands come into effect - and will be exempt from the congestion charging zone in London. It will also future-proof owners from incoming clean air zones due to be launched in a number of UK cities over the next few years.
Peugeot will offer high levels of equipment, including standard EV connected features such as pre-conditioning, remote charging set-up and vehicle condition monitoring.
The 22.5 kWh battery will come with an eight year / 60,000 mile warranty. To charge, the Peugeot uses a Type 1 inlet, with a CHAdeMO rapid charging inlet an optional extra. The two sockets are located either side of the car on the front wings.
The Peugeot will seat five in comfort, with the option to remove the the rear seats to create a flat load area. Even with the seats folded, boot space will increase from 1,350 litres to 3,000 litres.
David Peel, Managing Director at Peugeot UK said: "The Peugeot Partner Tepee Electric demonstrates our intention to make sustainable mobility accessible to all.
"Whether for personal or business use, the Partner Tepee Electric stands out thanks to its blend of practicality and efficiency.
"The vehicle offers an impressive range and is easy to run and maintain, making it a highly attractive option for those looking to switch to electric."
The new Peugeot Partner Tepee Electric will go on sale in September.
