14.6.2012 Revenge of the Electric Car: out now

A new film – The Revenge of the Electric Car – offering an insight into how electric vehicles are becoming major players in the automotive industry will be in cinemas from July 20th.
The new Chris Paine film is the sequel to his 2006 film 'Who Killed the Electric Car', which explored how the US government and the oil industry effected the limited development of early electric vehicles, specifically General Motors' EV1.
The Revenge of the Electric car was released in the US in October last year, and explores how major car manufacturers are investing millions of pounds in a fight to bring a new generation of electric cars back into world markets in the midst of a global recession. Key manufacturers in the electric vehicle industry are featured, including Nissan, Chevrolet and Tesla.
Next Green Car will provide a full review of the film closer to its UK release date in July. The New York Times describe it as "a snapshot of a major industry shift on its way to a tipping point... a slick, enjoyable valentine to a retooling industry."
