4.4.2012 New SEAT Mii returns 67 mpg

New SEAT Mii returns 67 mpg

The all-new SEAT Mii 3 door city car is now available to order in the UK, with prices starting at only £7,845 on the road for the entry-level version.

The Mii range offers a version with a start-stop system, which reduces CO2 emission down to 96 g/km, meaning that it qualifies for free VED road tax and London congestion charge exemption – helping to keep running costs to a minimum.

The SEAT Mii is powered by a 1.0 litre, three cylinder multi-point injection petrol engine, with a power output of either 60 or 75 PS. The 75 PS version is also available with an automated five-speed manual gearbox.

The Mii's design maximises interior space, although it is a relatively small city car. The wheelbase is the joint longest in the class, but this is balanced by tiny front and rear overhangs so as not to jeopardise urban agility. Head room is ample for all passengers, as is space in the boot.

The most affordable model in the range is the Mii S, starting at £7,790, which emits 105 gCO2/km. However, the greenest version is the Mii Ecomotive 1.0 litre 60 PS manual with start-stop and an energy recovery system. This version emits 96 gCO2/km, which means that its combined fuel economy figure comes out at around 67.3 miles per gallon.

For company car users, this version of the Mii will come with a Benefit-in-Kind rate of just 10%, which, along with free road tax and no congestion charge, keeps running costs low.
