2.4.2012 Citroen DS5 Hybrid4 now available

Citroen's distinctive DS5 officially goes on sale today, with the long awaited DS5 Hybrid4 being the most fuel efficient and lowest CO2 emission model in the range.

The Hybrid4 version uses the same powertrain as the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 model, which was the world's first ever diesel electric hybrid car available in the UK.

The DS5 Hybrid is now available on the road from between £27,600 and £32,200. In addition to the diesel electric Hybrid4 model, three other refined Euro V diesel engine options are available – the THP 200, the e-HDi 110 and the HDi 160.

With three variants of the hybrid DS5 on offer, the most frugal is the 200hp Hybrid4 200 Airdream EGS6 which emits just 99 gCO2/km – an impressive figure when considering the size and capability of the DS5. The efficiency of this hybrid car offers financial benefits for both retail and business customers. As well as impressive fuel economy, the sub-100gCO2/km model is exempt from VED road tax and London's congestion charge. For business users, the BIK tax rate is just 10%.

The DS5 has five doors, five full size seats and a 465 litre boot capacity. Styling bold and modern, with a luxurious aviation-inspired interior. Citroen's Creative Technologie includes keyless access & start, smart beams, a colour head-up display and a new Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS).
