29.3.2012 New Citroen C1 achieves 65 mpg

Now available for pre-order, the newly restyled Citroen C1 will officially go on sale in the UK on 2 April, with the range starting at a manufacturer recommended on the road price of £7,995.
Five out of the six models in the new C1 range return fuel economy on a combined cycle of 65.7 mpg, whilst emitting just 99 gCO2/km.
The low emissions figures mean that the C1 falls into the sub 100 gCO2/km category necessary for VED road tax and London congestion charge exemption – meaning all round running costs are kept low.
Citroen are also offering a £1,000 Citroen Reward, meaning that the on the road price will actually start at £6,995. In addition, VTR models are available from just £99 per month, including one year's worth of free insurance.
The C1 will be a city car with style and practicality ideal for urban motoring. It is spacious enough for four adults with plenty of storage compartments. The new C1 will become the first petrol Citroen model to emit less than 100 gCO2/km.
In terms of features, the VTR versions offer day-time running LED lights, air conditioning and electric front windows. The VTR+ trim adds alloy wheels, fron fog lights, a leather steering wheel and tinted windows.
