13.3.2012 New Hyundai i30 achieves 76 mpg

With the new i30 now available in UK showrooms, Hyundai can demonstrate how they have been developing their clean diesel technologies to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.
Expected to build on the success of the original i30 model, the new generation version offers a more stylish and more refined alternative, with lower running costs and lower CO2.
Pricing starts at £14,495 (on the road) and rises to £20,795 – offering a line-up of two petrol and two diesel engines. Five power outputs are offered, ranging from 90 to 128 PS, and four trim levels – Classic, Active, Style and Style Nav.
The new 1.6-litre diesel unit, featuring Intelligent Stop & Go technologies, delivers an impressive power to efficiency ratio, providing an output of 128 PS and emissions of just 100 g/km. This will make this model one of the most efficient vehicles in the C-segment, and means that it just qualifies for VED road tax and Congestion Charge exemption – helping to keep running costs down.
Hyundai's Blue Drive technologies are standard on all 1.6 CRDi manuals, which lower CO2 emissions down to 97 g/km and raise fuel economy figures to 76.3 mpg. This model will be the lowest priced sub-100 gCO2/km 5-door model in the small family car category, with the lowest fuel consumption and the lowest BIK rate of 13% (£438 per year for 20% tax payers).
The New Generation i30 was recently announced as 'Car of the Year 2012' by leading car review website, CarBuyer. Test drives are now available in your nearest dealership.
